Kehadiran ramai orang asing dengan kad pengenalan biru yang kini berkhidmat di pelbagai peringkat kerajaan dan agensi penguatkuasaan disifatkan sebagai “bom jangka yang berbahaya”.



Isu berkaitan kad pengenalan meragukan kepada kelompok itu, menurut Parti Reformasi Negeri (STAR Sabah), sangat membimbangkan seperti dibuktikan dalam suruhanjaya siasatan diraja untuk menyiasat pendatang haram negeri.



“Semua ini telah terbukti tanpa sebarang keraguan munasabah dengan penangkapan dalam kes IC Sabah yang dipegang oleh pengawal keselamatan, pemandu teksi dan sekarang individu disyaki militan di semenanjung juga,” kata Pengerusinya Datuk Jeffrey Kitingan.



“Tangkapan terbaru dua militan, dikatakan daripada Kampung Titingan di Tawau, Sabah (walaupun dinafikan ketua kampung), dan penangkapan pegawai tentera laut dan keselamatan yang disyaki berkaitan jaringan pengganas hanya sebahagian kecil daripada isu sebenarnya.”



Sementara itu, Jeffry juga menyentuh pengumuman Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Razak berhubung penstrukturan semula Kawasan Keselamatan Khas Pantai Timur Sabah (Esscom).



Katanya, ancaman keselamatan semasa, termasuk penculikan dan pencerobohan sempadan, disebabkan oleh dasar dan tindakan kerajaan persekutuan “membantu” pemberontak Islam di selatan Filipina “dengan cara salah mengeluarkan kad pengenalan kepada pendatang haram untuk tujuan politik”.
